Customers: Import Database into Last.app

How to import a customer database into Last.App?

If you want to import an existing customer database into Last.App, follow the step-by-step guide below.

Step 1: Create the Import File

Each external platform generates a file with the customer data it stores. It's important to convert this file into the format required by Last.App for the import to be successful.

You can find the official Last.App customer import format at the following link.

Below is an explanation of each column and the type of information it must contain:

  1. Name: First name(s) of the customer.
  2. Surname: Last name(s) of the customer.
  3. PhoneNumber: Customer's phone number, preferably with country code. A tip: to make sure the "+" sign is recognized as text in the spreadsheet, place a single quote before the plus sign like this → +34.
  4. Email: Customer’s email address.
  5. Address: Street name and number.
  6. AddressDetails: Additional address info such as floor, apartment, building, etc.
  7. PostalCode: Postal code.
  8. Points: Loyalty points the customer might have.

It’s very important to keep the same column names and order. These fields feed the database in Last.App, and if a column is added, removed, or renamed, the system may not read the file correctly, and the customers won’t be visible.

If you’re missing some information for a customer, it’s fine to leave the field blank.

Here’s an example of two customers: one with complete data and one with some missing fields.

CamilaJuan+34789123123
Camí del Sant Crist, 50Bajos 20

In the first case, the profile will be created with all the information filled in.
In the second case, the customer profile will be created without an email or postal code.

Step 2: Save the file

Once you have filled out the file with the correct customer data, you need to save it as a CSV file (Comma-Separated Values).
If you're working in Google Sheets, go to
File > Download > Comma-separated values (.csv).

Step 3: Upload the file to Last.App

Once you have your CSV file ready, go to LastAdmin > Customers. There you’ll see the Import icon in the customer section.

Clicking on this icon will open your file explorer. Select your CSV file and click "Open". This will begin the import process, and you’ll see a confirmation message in the top-right corner of the screen indicating whether the file was uploaded successfully.

After the import is complete, the customers will appear in the admin panel once the data syncs with the server. This sync process can take up to 45 minutes, so you may not see the imported customers immediately.

All customers imported this way will show “CSV Import” as their source.
