How does our integration with Uber Eats work?
The integration between Last.app and Uber Eats is bidirectional, meaning both systems exchange information in real time. This connection also allows for automatic order acceptance, so all orders placed on Uber Eats are automatically accepted into your POS system.
When a customer places an order on Uber Eats, the following data is automatically synced with Last.app in real time:
Last.app sends the following data to Uber Eats:
Category names
Product names, descriptions, and images
Order preparation times
Store opening and closing hours
Product and modifier availability
Additional features available from Last.app
You can also manage certain features of your Uber Eats store directly from the Last.app admin panel:
Temporary Store Closure
To temporarily close your Uber store, follow the steps in this article that explains how to close your Uber Eats store from within Last.app.
Limitations of the Uber Integration
Some actions are restricted by Uber’s internal policies and cannot be performed through the integration. These include:
Function
| Where It's Managed |
Early pickup notifications
| Not available
|
Promotions and discounts | Uber Partner Portal |
Delivery zones | Uber Partner Portal |
Order cancellations | Uber Partner Portal |
Early pickup not available
Uber does not allow modifying the pickup time. Therefore, the “Ready for Pickup” button in Last.app has no effect. Uber will dispatch the driver based on the standard preparation time set.
Any promotional offers or product discounts must be configured directly in the Uber Partner Portal.
Delivery zones
Your store’s delivery zones are defined and managed through the Uber platform, not from Last.app.
Order cancellations
Orders cannot be canceled from Last.app. If an order needs to be canceled, it must be done through Uber. However, if Uber cancels an order directly, this cancellation will be reflected automatically in Last.app.
