LastQR: How Does the QR System Work?

LastQR: Ordering and Payment from Mobile via QR Code

LastQR is a feature that allows customers to place orders and pay directly from their mobile phones by scanning a QR code located on their table or in a visible area of the restaurant. This system streamlines in-house operations by automating order-taking and reducing the need for staff intervention.

There are three different usage models within the LastQR functionality, designed to adapt to each venue’s operational needs:

QR Code Linked to a Specific Table

In this setup, each QR code is tied to a specific table in the restaurant.
  • When a customer scans the code and places an order from their phone, a ticket is automatically created in the POS, linked to that table.
  • No action is required from the staff to generate the order.
  • You can configure whether orders are printed immediately or only once paid.
  • The system creates a “Restaurant”-type order, marked with the symbol QXXX and the corresponding table number.
InfoImportant: Each table must have its own unique QR code.

 QR Code Without Table Association

This model allows customers to order from their phone without linking the QR code to a specific table.
  • Ideal for common areas, bars, counters, or venues without table assignments.
  • Orders are created automatically in the POS, no staff input required.
  • Print settings can be configured as in the previous model (always or only after payment).
  • A Restaurant-type ticket is generated with symbol QXXX, but with no table assigned.

QR Code for Take Away

This model is intended for takeaway orders.
  • Customers scan a QR code and place their order from their mobile to pick it up later at the location.
  • Orders are registered automatically in the POS.
  • You can choose whether orders are printed after payment or immediately.
  • A Takeaway-type order is created, marked with the symbol QXXX.

Benefits of Using LastQR

  • Speeds up the order process and reduces wait times.
  • Eliminates manual steps by connecting directly to the POS.
  • Increases table turnover and enhances the overall customer experience.
  • Minimizes order-taking errors.
