Catalogs: Creating Combos

Catalogs: Creating Combos

How to Create Combos

Combos let you group multiple products under a single price—ideal for offers like a "Set Menu" or "Lunch Menu." This guide shows you how to create a combo step by step using LastAdmin.

Step 1: Add a new Combo

Go to LastAdmin | Combos and click “Add Combo.” A configuration panel will open on the right-hand side.

Step 2: Fill in the Combo Information

The required fields are:
  • Combo Name: This is how the combo will appear in the POS, Last Shop, and any integrated platforms that receive your catalog.
  • Price: Define the base price of the combo here.
    Info
If you need to update the price later, we recommend doing it directly from the catalog instead of the combo section—this allows different prices per platform.
  • Color: Shown in the POS if no image is assigned. Also visible in the catalog and combo list in the admin panel.

  • Description: Displayed in Last Shop and supported external platforms.
  • Image: Appears in the POS and platforms that accept images.

    Info
Some platforms may choose not to display these images. If that happens, please contact them directly.

  • Add Category: This is where you define the different phases or steps of your combo (explained in Step 3).
  • Enable Product only on a schedule: Enable this if the combo should be available only at specific times. Outside the configured hours, it will not be visible in the POS, Last Shop, or delivery platforms.

Step 3: Add Combo Categories

Categories define the steps or phases of the combo, such as “Choose your drink” or “Pick a side.”
Click “Add Category” and fill out the following fields:
  • Name: This is what will be shown in the POS (e.g., “Choose your drink”).
  • Preselected by Default: If enabled, all products in the category are automatically included and cannot be modified by the customer. Use this for fixed items.
  • Minimum: Minimum number of products the customer must select. If the minimum is not met, the combo cannot be added to the order.
  • Maximum: The maximum number of products that can be selected in this category.
  • Active: Determines if the category is currently visible and usable. If set to inactive , it won’t appear in the POS or platforms—even if it’s pre-selected.
  • Save: Saves the category configuration. You can then add products to it.

Step 4: Add Products to Combo Categories

Once categories are created, you must add products to each one:

  1. Click the dropdown arrow next to the category

  2. Click “Add product”

A list of your existing products will appear. Select the ones to include.

If a product doesn’t exist yet, click
“New” to create it on the spot—it will be auto-selected once saved.

Click “Add” to confirm. You’ll now see the products listed within the category.

Info
Each product added to a combo will show a default price of “NaN€” inside the combo, meaning it has no additional cost—the combo uses the fixed base price set in Step 2.

InfoImportant: Products in a combo will inherit their modifier groups from the main catalog. If you want different modifiers for combo versions of a product, you’ll need to duplicate the product, assign it new modifier groups (or none), and then add that version to the combo.

Step 4.1: Add Surcharges for Products in a Combo

If a specific product within a category should have an extra cost, click the pencil icon next to it.
Configure:
  • Price impact: Set how much this product increases the base combo price. E.g., +1.00€ for a carpaccio.

  • Active: Choose whether the product is visible in the combo.
  • Save: Remember to click Save for changes to take effect.

Step 5: Save and Activate the Combo

Once you've finished configuring categories, adding products, and setting any surcharges:
  1. Click “Save”
The side panel will close, and the new combo will appear at the bottom of the list.
  2. The combo will appear with a gray/orange toggle (inactive).
    Switch it to
    green (active).
Finally, assign the combo to a catalog so it’s visible in the POS, Last Shop, or delivery platforms.
