How to configure the delivery section?

In LastAdmin | Delivery you can configure various options related to your restaurant’s delivery service, including:
  • Advance printing of orders
  • Assigning a delivery Till
  • Assigning a delivery printer
  • Managing delivery couriers

Advance printing of orders

This module lets you define when orders should be activated and printed, whether they are immediate or scheduled orders.

Preparation time

Set the average time your kitchen takes to prepare an order. The default value is 15 minutes.
This value is important because:
  • It is automatically communicated to platforms like Uber Eats, Just Eat, and Last Shop.
  • It determines when the delivery driver is dispatched by the platforms.
  • It affects the order acceptance schedule. For example, if your restaurant closes at 16:00 and preparation time is 15 minutes, the last order can be placed until 15:45.

Time margin

You can configure how much in advance scheduled orders activate and print.
For example, if an order is scheduled for Tuesday at 13:00 and the margin is 60 minutes, this order will activate and print on Tuesday at 12:00.

Important: If the time margin is less than the preparation time, the system will use the preparation time as the minimum to ensure proper order preparation.

Assigning a delivery Till

You can specify which cash drawer will hold cash payments made to delivery drivers.
Just click the dropdown and select a cash drawer previously configured in
Printers | Cash Drawers.

Assigning a delivery printer

In this section, select the printer where delivery order tickets will be printed.
Like the cash drawer, you can choose a printer configured earlier in the printers settings.

Delivery Courier

If your restaurant has its own delivery drivers, you can manage them here:
  • Click Add Courier.
  • Enter their name and phone number.
  • The system will generate a unique code that you can print to identify them easily.
  • This code links orders to the driver and helps control payments or deliveries by driver.

Order limits

Last.app lets you set limits on the number of delivery orders your restaurant can accept.
This allows you to control volume and provide the best customer experience.
To configure limits:
  1. Click the + button.
  2. Select the days of the week and time ranges for the limit.
  3. Enter the maximum number of orders allowed per 30-minute time slot.
  4. Choose the types of orders to count (Own Delivery, External Delivery, Takeaway, or all).
  5. Decide what happens when the limit is reached: Close Takeaway or Close Delivery ordering.

Example:
If you want no more than 5 orders every 30 minutes from 8 PM on weekends, create a rule for Saturdays and Sundays between 20:00 and 23:59 with a max of 5 orders, closing both Delivery and Takeaway once the limit is reached.

How does it work?
When the restaurant receives, for example, its 5th order for delivery between 20:00 and 20:30, no one else can place an order for that time slot. The system will require scheduling the order for a later time.
