Delivery: Scheduled Order Printing in Advance

Delivery: Scheduled Order Printing in Advance

How to Schedule Order Printing in Advance?

With Last.app, you can manage when scheduled orders (both Take Away and Delivery) are printed so your kitchen team receives them with the right amount of notice.
This feature is available in the Delivery section.

How Does It Work?

There are two key fields used to configure automatic printing:

Preparation Time

This field defines the average number of minutes your kitchen needs to prepare an order. Based on this value, scheduled orders will be printed in advance according to their pickup or delivery time.

  • For Take AwayIf an order is scheduled for 21:00 and the preparation time is 15 minutes, it will automatically print at 20:45.
  • For DeliveryIf the driver is scheduled to arrive at 21:00 and preparation time is 15 minutes, the order will also print at 20:45.

You can update this time at any point, depending on your restaurant’s operational needs.

Scheduling Time Margin (Optional)

Use this field if you want orders to be printed even earlier — for example, to handle peak hours better.

Example:
If your preparation time is
15 minutes, but you want the order to print 1 hour earlier, set the Time Margin field to 60.
The system will calculate it like this:
  • Scheduled pickup time: 21:00
  • Margin: 60 minutes
  • The order will print at 20:00

Different Settings for Virtual Brands

If your restaurant uses virtual brands and you need different preparation or margin times for each one, you can easily set them up:

  • Click "View brand options"
  • Select the desired brand
  • Enter the specific Preparation Time and/or Time Margin

This allows you to tailor operations to each concept’s workflow within the same location.

InfoNote: This feature is designed to optimize timing and avoid delays, especially during peak hours or when managing multiple sales channels.
