Delivery: Order Limits

Delivery: Order Limits

With Last.app, you can set order limits for your delivery service. This feature allows each restaurant to manage its operational capacity, ensuring an optimal customer experience and avoiding kitchen or delivery overloads.

How to Set Order Limits

  1. Go to LastAdmin | Location | Delivery | Order Limit.

  2. Click the “+” button to create a new rule.

  3. Configure the following fields:

    • Days of the week the restriction will apply to.

    • Time range (e.g., 20:00 to 23:59).

    • Maximum number of orders allowed per 30-minute slot.

    • Order type to include in the limit:

      • In-House Delivery

      • Third-Party Delivery

      • Take Away

      • All

    • Action when the limit is reached: choose whether to close Delivery or Take Away on the online store (LastShop).

Benefit

With this feature, you control how many orders your restaurant can handle in each time slot. This helps avoid overloads, maintain quality service, and protect your operations.

Practical Example

Let’s say your restaurant gets very busy on weekend nights and you want to prevent your kitchen or drivers from getting overwhelmed.

You can create a rule for Saturdays and Sundays from 20:00 to 23:59, limiting orders to 5 per 30-minute slot. Once that number is reached, the system will automatically block that time slot for new orders and customers will be required to schedule their orders for a later time.

For example, once your restaurant receives the fifth order for the 20:00–20:30 slot, no more orders can be placed for that period. The system will only allow new orders to be scheduled for later slots.
